Forthcoming Fixtures & Latest News

Wednesday 14th August:

Dulwich have announced an extra friendly this coming Wednesday when they travel to Worthing FC to take on Withdean 2000 of the Combined Counties League. The game is being played at Woodside Road in Worthing and kick off time is 7-30 p.m.

Saturday 17th August:

Dulwich kick-off the 2002-2003 season this coming Saturday when they entertain Horsham FC keen to expunge memories of an embarrassing 2-0 defeat in the FA Cup Preliminary Round last season, a result that proved to be one of the first nails in the coffin as far as Gwynne Berry’s tenure in the Champion Hill hotseat was concerned. However despite not being among the favourites, the Hornets surprised most of their rivals as they trailed eventual champions Lewes by just six points in clinching the runners-up spot. They will not be mugs this season either.

Monday 19th August:

With the injuries and suspensions cruelly afflicting Dulwich’s build up to the start of the season, this game could hardly have could at a worse time. Under the tutelage of former Spurs’ star Graham Roberts, a man with a fine managerial pedigree in Non League Football, the Robins have quickly been installed as favourites for the championship of Division One South, a tag they have justified with fine victories at Premier Division Chesham United and over local rivals Sutton United in the pre-season build-up. Among summer signings that reinforce the pundits’ predictions is that is Tooting marksman Nigel Webb, a predator supreme, who is sure to keep the Dulwich defence on its toes all evening. Add to that the steel of Steve Darlington in midfield and Keith Dublin in defence and a potent brew is being mixed at Colston Avenue. Handle it carefully Dulwich or it may blow your head off!
