Declan Perkins warmed up for Saturday's visit of Grays with a superlative performance for the reserves against Walton & Hersham last night (Wednesday) in the Suburban League. Playing in order to gain vital match practice ahead of Saturday’s six-pointer Declan scored 4 times as Dulwich built up a 5-0 half-time lead, the other goal coming from George Gibson. The pick of the goals was his second a marvellous angled volley at chest height that squeezed into the top corner of the net. Declan added a fifth ten minutes into the second half before being substituted on the hour mark. Despite the icy conditions, play was fast and furious. Kevin Webb got number seven with 15 minutes to go, but despite numerous chances that could easily have seen double figures the final score was a mere 7-0! Still an amazing turnaround when you consider just 8 days ago the Reserves were beaten 7-1 by Walton in the second leg of the Suburban League Champions Cup.
